Tobias Holm Jensen

Aspiring Designer and Tech Nerd

My name is Tobias Holm Jensen and I am a Danish university student studying in Copenhagen, Denmark. I just graduated with a BSc. IT in Digital Media and Design from the IT University of Copenhagen (ITU) in June 2016. September 2016, I started pursuing a MSc. IT in Digital Design and Communication at ITU, with a specialization in communication design and user experience.

Study Interests

My field of study is based on the basic design of digital media. This field is of course very large and can in few terms be broken down into topics like: web design, interaction design, UX design, graphic design, digital innovation, communication and media. Studying this, I am very interested in the areas of UX design, Interaction design and design research and how taking this seriously in the design process can significantly improve the overall quality and especially the user experience of the product. The idea of designing and tailoring a digital product for an experience is what makes modern interactive media design interesting to me. Besides my interest in the theory of Human-Computer Interaction and UX Design, I am also very interested in the visuals of the design. I am constantly aware of the effect of the visuals and thus I am practicing graphic design and illustration to not only make the experience unique, but also the visuals. My interests can be described with keywords like: Web and app design, Designing in the browser, ‘Internet of Things’, ‘Ubiquitous Computing’, ‘User Experience Design’ & ‘Interaction Design’

So far, I have worked theoretically and practically within the fields of Interaction design, UX design, Playful design, Social Media, Co-design, Interactive Art & Aesthetics, Communications, Qualitative & Quantitative Research and more.
